We are not a licensed contracting entity or building construction company, and we do not perform roofing labor or related building tasks directly. All estimates provided by our interactive tools, sliding calculators, or content-rich cost guides are mathematical approximations based on historical indexing averages, contractor surveys, and regional material indexes.
Any written or verbal quotation, project bidding proposal, or architectural consultation provided by matching contractor companies represent binding contracts solely between the final homeowner (consumer) and that specific third-party contracting enterprise.
2. Homeowner Vetting Obligation (Licenses, Bonds, Insurances)
It is the absolute final responsibility of the individual homeowner to verify each roofer's active licensing credentials, general liability limits, worker's compensation, and local building bonds prior to contract execution.
While we make diligent efforts to only partner with highly rated, pre-screened, and fully insured local builders, The Roofing Advisor excludes and denies all direct or indirect responsibilities for workmanship failures, project delays, construction damage occurrences, or lien filings arising from interactions on this platform.
3. Independent Contractor Relationships
All contractors matched via our Platform operate as separate, independent companies. None of our staff acts as employees, agents, designers, or legal representatives of those matched contracting companies. We do not inspect completed jobs or arbitrate payment/workmanship disputes. Any legal action or remediation arising from a construction contract must be addressed directly to the hired contracting entity.
4. Accuracy of Regional Costs Database
Lumber, steel, shingle, and underlayment materials market costs fluctuates regularly based on raw commodity prices and fuel shipping surcharges. While we refresh our regional databases regularly, some local markets may vary higher or lower than our dynamic calculator's indices. Always secure at least 2 or 3 written onsite bids before making purchasing commitments.
